“Trust me. That had absolutely nothing to do with my show.”

“Of course it did! Why else would you act like that?”

Thoughts of the way Rand was looking at her, of the ways I know he was thinking of touching her, gets my anger fired back up again. I turn toward Violet, stepping in closer, my face inches from hers. “You wanna know why? I’ll tell you why. It had nothing to do with me putting on a show. It had everything to do with that slimy asshole hitting on you. It was pissing me

“What? Because some random guy was flirting with me? That’s ridiculous!”

“Is it? Is it ridiculous that I hated the way he talked to you? Is it ridiculous that it made me want to rip out his eyes out every time he looked at you? Is it ridiculous that I wanted to kill him when you smiled at him?”

Violet shrinks back, away from my anger. “Jet, I’m sure that was just part of the way he does business.”

“The hell it was! He wanted you, and it was eating me up inside. That is why I was touching you. I wanted him to know that you are mine.”

Violet’s voice is soft. “But I’m not yours.”

I take a few long, deep, ragged breaths. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t want you to be.”

This is part of the Wild One Series by M. Leighton.  IF you haven't read this series yet, go out and read them!  You will fall in love with all the characters in each book.

Yet again and again Michelle Leighton knows how to get her readers to fall in love with her characters. Her style of writing totally captures and entraps you into the worlds she creates. I love me some rocker guys and Jet totally fit my bad boy image of a rocker who with just his looks can melt the panties off your body!

and I totally did for Jet!

This story of how Violet who is a helper and healer to her family & friends, lies to help her BFF Tia by attending a sex addict group only to find herself fall for Jet who has secrets of his own.  Violet tries to keep her distance from Jet but she can't.

The story flowed with humor, tension, sex appeal...just a fantastic read.  

I loved how Jet's words got Violet blushing like a school girl & he loves every minute of it.

Don't show me your tongue.  It's all I can do not to stand up with you in my arms and carry you to a dark corner and taste everything that you're hiding from me. -Jet

Is it hot in here??? Why yes, yes it is!  Rock guys, especially lead singers like Jet, have no filter and I am okay with that.  Jet's attraction to Violet is so intense that when stuff begins to happen..... you get

Jet character is a total mystery from the beginning. While reading you know he is up to no good but you just can't figure it out.  I loved how his words got Violet blushing like a school girl everytime!  Well, when his secret is  revealed, I was totally speechless!

Damn Michelle, you totally got me again with not expecting that outcome. Totally had me thinking it would be something else and then, BAM it totally was not.  This is what I love about Michelle's writing.  Her stories always have a surprise twist and keep you on your toes!

This is a must read! It popped more than 5 cherries for me!

I liked how this book took off with an OMG moment right from the start and flowed into the journey of Lila and her sexy, adventurous, torturous, past & present.

This book had my cherries popping with excitement of what would happen next.  I like how JL Brooks writes and gets us into the head of her main character Lila.  It felt as though I was right there with her.  Feeling like your part of the book is an excellent feeling & JL Brooks knows how to get us into it. 

I write like your kids color.  All over the place and without a damn care what anyone else thinks.  You mean I am not supposed to go outside the black line? Pshhhhh. -Lila

And this why I fell in love with this book!  JL Brooks totally got me.  Brooks writing is just like how Lila character is.  It's out there & you can take it or leave it.  I took it!

Hunter, Grant, Lorenzo..... well fucking damn!

Lila writers block has made a turn for the good when we get to see her adventures with these men.

All I have to say without spoiling it, is HOTTTT DAMN!!!!

I learned some new things while reading book.  Me likey, tehee.


There is a cliff hanger ending.  Yeppers but it was a good one which I totally did not see coming!  Eeeeepp!  I need book#2 like now!

I recommend reading this book.  Also, this was my 1st time reading one of her books and I am so glad I got introduced to her by my Minxy Sista Kiki! Make sure to check out JL Brooks other books.  I've already 1-clicked them and have them ready to be devoured :)

J. S. Cooper was born in London, England and moved to Florida her last year of high school. After completing law school at the University of Iowa (from the sunshine to cold) she moved to Los Angeles to work for a Literacy non profit as an Americorp Vista. She then moved to New York to study the History of Education at Columbia University and took a job at a workers rights non profit upon graduation.

About the Author

I'm interested in the way literature can help us explore aspects of the human condition - particularly suffering, sex, love, faith, and redemption. My favourite stories are those in which a character takes a journey, either a physical journey to a new and exciting place, or a personal journey in which he or she learns something about himself/herself. 

I'm also interested in how aesthetic elements such as art, architecture, and music can be used to tell a story or to illuminate the traits of a particular character. In my writing, I combine all of these elements with the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the transformative power of goodness.
