I liked this book. I feel this is a good quick read before reading the upcoming book "Frayed" in this series coming out on September 2nd.
We get Ben's POV which I was wanting to know what he was thinking and feeling during all of this.
Without giving away spoilers, I wanted to kick Ben upside the head sometimes with the decisions he made. I found myself yelling at my tablet going WTH? I like books that do this to me when I read them. It means to me that I'm seriously into the book & I am feeling the emotions the author has poured out into the pages.
Ben Convington past is revealed in this novella and it made me feel bad that he for what he went thru. It pieced together what I remembered from the other books in the series and answered some of my questions I did have about Ben. I wasn't that big of a fan of Ben's but I did start to like him more in this book because now I understood where he was coming from. It makes more sense now.
I definitely recommend reading this book. It will prepare you for what is next in the series which is Ben & Bell's story which I can't wait to read in the upcoming book "FRAYED" out on September 2nd.
